How to Properly Lubricate Your Bambu Lab P1S (Without Turning it into a Grease Ball)

How to Properly Lubricate Your Bambu Lab P1S (Without Turning it into a Grease Ball)

Step 1: Lead Screws (Z-Axis)
For the hardworking lead screws, you’ll need Super Lube 92003 Silicone Grease with PTFE. Apply a thin layer to keep things running smoothly without caking it on—this isn’t a pizza! Just enough to reduce wear.

Step 2: Y-Axis Metal Rods
The Y-axis rods prefer a lighter touch. Use Super Lube Multi-Use Synthetic Oil with PTFE. It keeps things slick without trapping dust. Just a drop will do; don’t drown them!

Step 3: X-Axis Carbon Fiber Rods
Leave these self-lubricating heroes alone. Just clean them with isopropyl alcohol. No oil, no grease—just a wipe to keep them in top shape.

Step 4: Bushings and Bearings
For the bushings and bearings, go for a bit of grease. Apply it sparingly and wipe off any excess. It’s all about balance here!

Step 5: No Silicone on the Bed!
Avoid silicone lubricants near the build plate. They can ruin adhesion, and you don’t want that kind of trouble.

Now your Bambu Lab P1S is ready to run like a well-oiled (but not too oiled) machine!
